Testimonial

It sounds great, I really like what you did throughout the song. The verses are all slightly different which keeps it interesting and the chorus has a nice rhythm and reflects how I was thinking of the topic (upbeat message and lesson in an environment of loss). The new singer is really good!
Best regards and thanks again for the good work. P.S. - We recently put my father in his final resting place, and at the request of my family members we played “”Play””. I was happy to pay tribute to him in this way; thanks for making that possible.

Story Behind the Song

Play is a tribute to the lessons of life learned from example.  The lyricist tells the story:  “He had his share of troubles/they piled up high/Many would have given up/Put tomorrow on standby.” But, when family members depend on the outcome, “He took a look around/He knew what he should do.”  With wisdom, “You gotta hit play/’Cause that’s the only way /to move ahead of trouble/to push away the pain/Get out of yesterday and hit play.” Even in grief, “We all need to remember to rewind and replay/so the people we love never really go away.”  Listen, remember, and heed the loving wisdom in the song Play.
